The Wine Shack’s Tasting Room is the site of daily Puffin wine tasting as well as our special Saturday wine tastings.
Come in by yourself or bring your friends. Visit during tasting time or rent the room for your own private party.
You might find treats, play a board game and you might meet a winemaker. We think you will find our Tasting Room to be cozy and welcoming.
Our goal is for you to enjoy your visit to The Wine Shack and want to come back again.
Our Tasting Room is open daily from 12-5pm. We accept new tasting customers until approximately 4:40. Please check our Calendar or our Facebook page, or just give us a call at 503-436-1100.
What You Get When You Taste at The Wine Shack
A typical wine tasting panel consists of 5-6 wines, usually two whites and 3 or 4 reds and costs approximately $12 to $15 dollars, depending on our lineup. When you purchase two bottles from our tasting lineup, we are happy to refund your tasting fee.
From Sunday to Friday, we proudly pour our medal winning Puffin wines. We may sometimes offer a “bonus” pour to showcase a wine we’ve recently highlighted.
For our Saturday tastings, we vary the wines by season. You may find us pouring a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Port during winter, or a Rose’ during summer, but one thing is certain….we are almost ALWAYS pouring an Oregon Pinot Noir.
On selected Saturdays during the year, The Wine Shack holds special “Winemaker Events.” These events are lot of fun and give you the chance to meet the winemaker and taste his/her wines.
In the past year, The Wine Shack has hosted some of the finest wineries in the Pacific Northwest, including: Abacela, Alexandria Nicole Cellars, Angel Vine, Basel Cellars, Bergevin-Lane, Brandborg Wines, Capitello, Charles Smith, Cristom Vineyards, D’Anu, Durant Vineyards, Elk Cove Vineyards, Fullerton Wines, Holloran Vineyards, J Scott Cellars, Ken Wright Cellars, Kramer Vineyards, Lujon Cellars, Montinore, Northwest Cellars, Owen Roe, Pudding River Wine Cellars, Reustle Prayer Rock, Seven of Hearts, Sineann, Sleight of Hand, Sokol Blosser, Trisaetum, Walla Walla Vintners, Walnut City Wineworks and Zerba Cellars.
