PUFFIN SCARLET RED BLEND (NON-VINTAGE)
DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL: Platinum Wine Awards 2024
A beautiful garnet-colored blend of classic French varietals — Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec — Puffin Scarlet is layered with aromas of red cherry and raspberry, with a soft, elegant mouthfeel and refined tannins that make this an effortlessly enjoyable wine.
Crafted in collaboration with John Derthick, winemaker for Lujon Wines — whose 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon earned 92 points from Wine Spectator — using Syrah from a vineyard just north of the Columbia Gorge and the remaining fruit from Spofford Station Vineyard in Walla Walla, WA. Aged 9 months in a blend of French and American oak, this wine brings together the best of Washington's Columbia Valley.
Puffin Scarlet pairs nicely with a wide variety of foods, including wood-fired pizza, barbecued ribs, burgers and portabella mushroom.
